Mitsotakis: The need for political stability and democratic normality is more urgent than ever

“Fifty-eight years after the junta coup, historical memory is turning into a mature force. On the occasion of the sad anniversary, Greece honors the resistance fighters. It responds to current challenges, consolidating Democracy and Parliamentarism. And it overcomes the weaknesses of the post-junta era, staying away from easy demagogy and dangerous division,” Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said in a post on the internet.
The prime minister added: “In times of global geopolitical and economic uncertainty, the need for political stability and democratic normality is more relevant than ever. A prerequisite for our homeland to remain strong. Its economy to be dynamic. And its society to be united, to claim a better life. In a continuous effort, every collective success is translated into individual prosperity. The lessons of the past are leading us to the steps of the future.”
