US DFC to offer loan of 125 million dollars to Elefsis Shipyards

Τhe US International Development Finance Corporation’s (DFC) participation in Elefsis Shipyards is currently at 125 million US dollars, Development and Investments Minister Adonis Georgiadis said on Wednesday.

In an announcement made to social media, Georgiadis said that according to an announcement by US Ambassador to Greece George Tsunis, DFC completed internal procedures to approve a loan to ONEX Shipyards worth 125 million US dollars, more than the 102 million announced in Parliament.

The Greek minister said that pending is a decision by a Greek court to approve the plan, based on the existing bankruptcy law, to launch a rebirth of the shipyards.
