After a 10-year presence in Sydney, NSW, teacher Eleni Papagiannopoulou is returning to Athens.

The teacher, in Australia on secondment, is returning back home with her husband Panagiotis Georgakopoulos and their four daughters: Maria, Angeliki, Ioanna and Nikoletta.

A modest get-together was organised for the teacher who did the rounds at Greek Australian education institutes in Sydney. She has taught Greek at the University of Sydney, Macquarie University, at St Efthymia in Bankstown, Clemton Park Primary School, NSW School of Languages, Greek Orthodox community afternoon schools, has acted as a councillor, coordinator and adviser.

After a lot of activity she farewelled her friends and is heading off to Greece on 22 January.
