Supreme Presidents Message to all members

Brothers:

Before we report on this weeks event, we take note and ask all of our members to remember today, December 7 which marked America’s involvement in World War II and decisively changed the role of America on the world stage. We honor those men and women who saved us from tyranny.

Rye, NY –

The Supreme President John W. Galanis visited District 6 this past weekend.  During the Chapter initiation of Evzone Chapter 405, 20 new members joined the chapter on Saturday. During the annual event which is held at the West Chester Country Club in Rye, NY brought together several members of the leadership in District 6 including District Governor Peter Vasilakos and Past Supreme President of the Sons of Pericles Peter Vlittas.

Chapter 405 President Joe Keane welcome the Supreme President as well as all the delegation.  After the initiation, a splendid luncheon was hosted and attended by over 200 AHEPA family members.

Garrison, NY-

Elias Tsekerides, Chairman of the AHEPA St. Basil’s Committee attended the annual AHEPA visitation to the St. Basil’s Academy Christmas Pageant.  Over 75 AHEPAns from New Jersey, New York and Connecticut came together to attend the packed house for this annual pageant.  Chairman of the AHEPA Board of Trustees, Past Supreme President Nicholas Karacostas, as well as Supreme Governor Chris Gallis as well as Sons Supreme President Andreas Chrsitou and Maids Grand President Deanna Socaris attended this annual event.

20 children received gifts from the AHEPA as part of the continuing commitment the AHEPA has with the school.  In 1980 the AHEPA donated $1million to the St. Basil’s Academy by building the dormitories to the School.

Henderson, NV-

Supreme Vice President Andrew Zacharides visited AHEPA District 20 on Friday and Saturday December 4 & 5. On Friday December 4 the Vice President accompanied by District 20 Governor Wynn Stroton, initiated a new chapter in Henderson, NV.  The new Chapter will be voted upon in the coming days by the Supreme Lodge where a new number and name will be assigned.

On Saturday December 5 the Supreme Vice President was joined by  Supreme Governor Nicholas Perdaris visitation to the Anaheim AHEPA Chapter #411.  The Supreme Vice President was also joined by District 20 Governor Storton, the VP discussed the ongoing progress of AHEPA and the St. Nicholas project.

Region 5-

Washington, DC –

Supreme Secretary George E. Loucas visited AHEPA Headquarters on Friday December 4.  While in town the Supreme Secretary decided to come visit the staff and catch up on the ongoing programs for the year end membership dues and collections.  While at HQ the Supreme Secretary checked to see all the filings for membership were being processed and handled on a timely basis.
