Θωμάς Κατσιαντώνης, ο νέος πρόεδρος της Πα.Δ.Ε.Ε.
Ο Θωμάς Κατσιαντώνης (Thomas Katsiantonis) State Representative of New Hampshire, είναι ο νέος εκλεγμένος πρόεδρος της Παγκόσμιας Διακοινοβουλευτικής Ένωσης Ελλήνων που πραγματοποιεί τις ημέρες αυτές τη 10η Γενική της Συνέλευση στην Αθήνα και, ειδικότερα, στο κτήριο της Βουλής των Ελλήνων (Αίθουσα Γερουσίας).

Thomas Katsiantonis born on the 17th day of February 1973.
Born to Nikolas Katsiantonis and Elli (Kokkinou) Katsiantonis.
Thomas is currently serving as a State Representative of New Hampshire ,
re-elected on November 4, 2015.
Political Career
His early start in politics while attending school in Greece led to his passion for politics and his choice to run in the 2003 election in NH.
Tom won the election for State Representative of ward 12.
In 2004 Tom helped pass a bill to offer Greek as a language in school. At the time only French and Spanish were offered.
In 2005 he would have to resign his seat because he moved into a different district.
He would be re-elected as a State Representative serving ward 8 in 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014 .
Tom has been actively involved in Greek American issues. Such as Macedonia & Cyprus. Currently he is working with other Greek American State Senators on removing the need for a Visa for Greeks to enter the United States.
Tom has been involved in many Presidential Elections. The State of NH is first in the Primaries. Tom has contributed to Political Candidates such as Al Gore, Joe Lieberman, John Kerry, Hilary Clinton and the most recent President Barak Obama.
Tom is involved in Pan-Macedonian Association in the United States.
Tom is a member of:
• The Greek Assumption Church
• The Greek American Club Pericles and serves on its board.
Personal Life
Born in the United States Thomas is an American Greek. Lived in the United States with his parents and younger brother George Katsiantonis born on the 2nd day of February 1978. The family moved back to Greece in the 1980’s where his father accepted a position in Greek Government.
Thomas attended school in Greece at Elassona. He graduated in 1991.
While attending school Thomas participated in sports. Tack, Soccer and Basketball.
At the age of 15 Tom broke the National record for the 1,000 meter race with the time of 2 minutes 42 seconds. At the age of 17 he came in 6th at the Nationals for 800 meter. Tom was also involved in Greek Folk Dancing which he would later teach in America.
Thomas was involved in politics in school. He served as President of Student Council through Middle and High School.
After Graduating Thomas decided to attend College in the United States. While enrolled his father who had been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1984 took a turn for the worse and was unable to work, Thomas took on the responsibilities of caring for the family. He attended college and worked as a dishwasher, delivery driver and cook. Thomas graduated with a degree in Business Administration.
In 1995-1996 Thomas opened his first Restaurant/Bar and Grill which he named Grand Slam
In 2006 Tom opened Grand Slam 2.
Thomas is married to Soula (Keloglou) Katsiantonis and they have one son Nikos Katsiantonis born on the 23rd day of May in 2004.
Tom and Soula were first married in the United States in 1999 they later renewed their vows in Elassona, Greece on the 12th day of July 2002.
