AHEPA Disappointed with British Prime Minister’s Statement on Parthenon Marbles

“Obviously we are not surprised with the intransigent position taken by British Prime Minister David Cameron with regard to the return of the Parthenon Marbles,” said Supreme President Dr. Grossomanides.  “We disagree with it in the strongest terms.  The Parthenon Marbles belong back in their rightful place of origin—Athens, Greece.”

The prime minister made his remarks last week while on an official visit to India, according to a news report in Kathimerini.
